OnePlus devices to come without pre-installed Facebook apps and services

OnePlus has recently been on the receiving side of criticism when they started rolling out their devices with Facebook apps and services such as Instagram came pre-installed. The company has confirmed that starting from the recently launched OnePlus 8T, Facebook services and apps wont come pre-installed.

The company stated that the devices would come free of Facebook apps and services. The only third party app that would come pre-installed would be Netflix.

Earlier, the move to install the Facebook apps and services, were backed by the company claiming better battery efficiency on Facebook and had maintained that this would be continued for the devices launched in India, Europe and North America.
